About the Photographer

Robbie George grew up in Aspen, Colorado and currently resides downvalley in Silt. Robbie is a professional photographer who has been published in many national magazines, web sites, and calendars. He primarily shoots high-end real estate in Aspen. His versatile style gives him the ability to take assignments or shoot a variety of subjects for his clients.

The name Ute City Photo refers to a time in history when the Ute Indians lived in the Aspen valley. The Utes called the area the "Shining Mountains." In the mid-1800's, miners came seeking silver and named their settlement Ute City. It was a neglected ghost town by the time Robbie's grandfather came to the valley on horseback in the early 1940's, but he settled in the area for the natural beauty and solitude. Though much has changed in the last half-century, it's those old-world qualities that Robbie seeks to capture in his photography.
